Well hello everyone, I just thought that I would give you all an update on the Bee Well in School’s programme as we approach the end of the academic school year.
It has been a very busy (and successful) year for the programme as we continue to work alongside schools including Strathearn School and Malone College, Belfast. This year we have made new connections with St Louises Comprehensive School and with Workforce Training Services. With each school/organisation, I design and deliver a bespoke programme to reflect their needs. This has included sessions on stress management, confidence and self-esteem building through the art of upcycling as well as a fully interactive 5 steps to well-being programme. Incorporated into these sessions includes tips and relaxation techniques that can be used to help better manage our mental health.
This picture illustrates my highlight of the year as the MACS Wellbeing School’s Worker; a group of young men reaping the benefits of meditation. This picture, for me, sums up the importance of looking after our mental health.
