Well, that’s the end of an era…. Participate Now just had their last forum ?
It was a brilliant day though – so nice to see young people & staff from all our different services. This forum was a day for Participate Now workers to report on their work and give the young people a bit of background on their journey*.
We also discussed the MACS young leader jobs that are coming up. Young people give feedback on the kind of qualities they think a young leader should have.
Paula, who is evaluating the service, also did an activity and everyone got really involved and give super feedback. Thanks a lot guys!
After the forum, everyone headed to cosmos for an all you can eat session…. well, weren’t we stuffed! Tasty indeed. Gutted that it was the last one for us… but you know what they say… all good things must come to an end.

* Participate Now was set up in 2012 to improve young people’s participation in MACS. Young People wanted someone who understands them and their experiences to influence the strategic direction MACS takes. Big Lottery funded 4 Trainee Participation Worker posts for care experienced young people aged 16-21 years. The posts were contracted to last 3 years.
